When Maddie Pope won American Idol in 2018, she also won a place in my collection to represent Iowa. I used 38 license plates to create this license plate guitar, and chose a red, white and blue patriotic theme because she is the American Idol. License plates around her face and in her eyes give her portrait a unique reflective quality. Michican tags were used to spell out in the A, the M and the star in American Idol.
