Choosing a music artist to represent Kentucky was not easy as there are many to choose from. I chose Chris Stapleton for this license plate guitar because he’s a great songwriter, not only for himself but for many other musicians. I used 41 tags to create this artwork.

I used tiny bits of license plate pieces to create a mosaic of Chris Stapleton’s face which appears in the center hole. Traveller, which is written down the neck, was his debut album. Tennessee Whiskey, one of his greatest hits yet, appears on the guitar face. I used a flag theme because the Traveller song talks about his travels across the country, and fit so well with the license plates I used to create this piece. This is actually the common theme that runs through my pieces.

The C and T in Chris Stapleton, and the W in Whiskey are vintage Michigan tags.
